Julian Opie

Julian Opie is a London born visual artist, raised in Oxford. His work is very recognisable, using graphic, simplified imagery to create portrait. Opie's style was brought into the public eye when he was asked to design the cover for the British band, Blur's best of album. On the cover, the band members are illustrated in his style.

STUSSY X FLATBUSH ZOMBIES

Here is a collaboration between Streetwear brand 'Stussy' founded by Shawn Stussy, and Brooklyn's 'Flatbush Zombies'

I particularly like the tie dye style used on the garments and the colours used within this dying method.

Juice Illustration

I particularly like the pop art/ comic style of illustration used and the accuracy of the portrait from a photograph.

Origin

When considering Graphic Design as a whole, there are elements within the industry that I prefer to work in. For example I am keen on Illustration & Fashion within Design.
